Exterior:
-Bodywork is in excellent condition for its age, 1 dent in rear quarter which is pictured, a few little dinks in the arches but my plan with this was to fit the rs turbo arches so wouldn't need to worry about them.
-rs turbo bodykit.
-rs turbo mirrors
- rs turbo s2 front bumper.
-colour coded rear bumper.
- rs2000 wheels and correct wheel nuts (no centre caps)
Interior:
Interior is in lovely condition again spec as follows.
88 spec rs turbo front seats.
Cosworth 4 spoke steering wheel with mk4 escort boss.
Stripped out rear.
mechanical:
I swapped the original 1300 engine for a 1600 xr2 engine, the 1300 is a poor engine so I put the 1600 in for a bit more drivability and to be able to keep up with traffic on the motorways.
1600 late cvh, xr2 gearbox
Referbed tldm carb, k&n induction
Ashley 4 branch manifold.
New fuel pump.
Big powerful battery.
Coolant, gearbox oil and engine oil all flushed out and replaced with premium fluids.
New gaskets.
Xr3i radiator.
Brakes and suspension:
Koni adjustable suspension, lowered -50mm.
Perished bushes replaced.
Rs turbo disks and callipers, new pads.
New front flexi hoses.
Rear drums totally overhauled.
New master cylinder.
Good condition xr3i servo.
Things needed to finish:
-exhaust from manifold back.
-door cards.
-oil cap
-mot.
- register the engine (optional)
It starts lovely first time, I was surprised myself how good the engine is. Iv drove it round my yard and everything seems spot on but never had it out on the road for a proper drive.
