cheers lads.

It has a tow cover already just havent put it on.
It did have smoked rears which i have removed already. I will be changing the front indicators back to amber when i get a chance.

no plans with it at the mo, dont have the time to mess about with it. So just parked it up for now in storage as i dont have the space at the yard. Will be put on the road at some point once its MOT'd and Tax'd.

The debate now is if i should sell the esc cos and use this as the daily for the next year. Only downside to it is that its not really a family car, i use the esc cos like its a mondeo. Going shopping and work every day stuff. Will the S1 be able to do the same. Belive it or not the esc cos is probly less knickable than the S1 and rarely gets looked at when left in a carpark.

I dont think the S1 will be as easy to walk away from.

I agree esc cos is sweet as a daily driver power steering etc loads room

S1 not so much a daily driver but I'd keep it, has bags more character IMO 8) and u know in many years time they will be harder to find

8) very nice jano, for a minute there i thought you were stealing my car! lol
your love of mk3's far outweighs the mk5 you know that even if it is a cossy! you know you'd rather keep the s1!

im not shy, if its got wheels and an engine ill drive it.

Well the S1 is almost road worthy, going to put some new tyres on it, shame as there are michelin but have cracked where its been sitting.. then mot and tax it.

I have decided to sell it as im not going to use it and storing another S1 for 10years seams silly after already doing it once..

So if anyone wants a clean s1 you heard it here first. 8)

£3500 is what it will be sold for or px swap will be considered depending on what it is. The S1 will be advertised at £3800 on other site such as Ebay and postonheads etc although not yet as it still requires tyres and an MOT and TAX so anyone who wants it before the open market just get in contact and come have a look at it.

The spec:-

Rare optional extra RS suspension wich i have never seen before and must be very hard to find??
Very good uncracked dash.
Solid roof and sunroof mechanism and slider, gutters etc..
Refurb'd 4x wheels.
Steel rods and forged pistons.
Stg3 head whatever that is? I havent removed any manifolds but has a bill for engine build.
Stg3 water cooled turbo, (who knows what stg3 is tho)
Std replacement Pace cooler, good for no more than 10-12psi
New rad
New Cam Belt and tensioner
New oil millers and large zetec filter
New fuel filter
New fan switch
New temp sender
Rubber rocker gasket
Std ambers all round and std spots. all working.
Std inside with slight wear on drivers bolster which im trying to source a replacment for.
Scorpion exhaust (ill check but large stainless)
Obviously tuned and starts on the button.
Everything works inside and outside, it has central locking and a CAT1 alarm with certificate.

I have made the engine bay as std looking as possible.
It has an A4 binder of all the history and previous mots and work etc.

Being 26 years old, it has a couple of very minor defects, one being the bottom of the passanger door has a 50p size blister, if you hve someone like Jamie to hand who is great with paintwork, you could get it fixed at a resonable amount that will not effect the genuine side skirt stikers.

To sum it up the car is straight and sound runs perfect and has a solid engine, its a great useable S1 and the price reflects the current finacial market otherwise it would be sold for more. If you stored it away or used it for X amount of years its very unlikely you would lose money if you was to sell it on in the future. The way that the classic RS market is going with RS500's and 3dr's its only a matter of time before these end up the same way. Thats my view anyway.

A couple pics, front wheel is a spare so pay no attention to the condition of the wheel.

If your genuinly interested then we can sort out a payment plan for people i trust to pay it off etc. Most of my cars have been sold this way when they are over £5k worth, but i understand that getting readies at the mo is hard.

If either of you are serious then come down with a decent depsoit and have a chat.

Dave tbh you would be better selling yours privately to get the best price for it.
