Pen, we use the members rides section for cars that are finished and on the road. Or cars you have owned etc..
If your Pickup is still being built or you have things do do on it, the correct setion for the thread would be in the projects section..
Would you like me to move it for you.
Regards
Jano

Kewl car

on the rear suspension i had to make new leaf spring mounts on the bottum of the axle and put the lot above the springs it had to have new u bolts and i removed the rear bump stops, that lot lower it about 110mm

the standard s1 body kit is a bit shorter so i had to chop up a spare set of side sills and added a bit .
is your hand brake i the way of your knee, i will be moving my one to the floor

Mines a mk4 so had the extras the later Escorts came with.. The handbrake is in the same position as common escorts.
How does it handle with the leaf springs? I done the same as you on my Mk4 Escort Van which had the same setup. Then changed it at a later date..
I decided to use coilovers on my pickup which has leaded to loads of work to get the 5 link setup to work 100%
Can you show us any pics of underneath the rear end?
Regards

when i got it realy going it was a bit wobbly at high speeds, on the corners it is good but you can feel the axle move abit side to side i am thinking of doing the 5 link set up on mine. i will get some pics of the axle

when using concentric top mounts it makes it involved to be able to get the coil over up and connected with the chassis in a decent way..
