You asked what BHP Aarons car was above.

My reply is that power is not the end and be all of anything, as a car with decent suspension and geometry setup has the ability to put the power down better than a higher power rated motor.

the slogan that Pirelli uses has got it to a tee. :wink:

I think it would be a good race.

But sadly the RS2k does not have an LSD which would mean that the 4x4 wouldnt really work as well as it was designed to be.

Also the Mk5/6 had issues with the wishbones due to bigger wheels than std and the fact that the roll bar does not take into account bigger wheels with more power etc.

To get the best out of the 4x4 setup i would fit the rally version of the RS2k front end which had a fully adjustable system and a complete soild rear beam with cossie stubs and coilovers etc..

If a Mk5/6 had the suspension setup as fitted to the Maxi RS2000 with 200bhp it would wipe the slate with a 200bhp S2 for sure. Reason why is that the S2 suspension and geometry setup is just as bad as the Fiesta and Late escorts. :cry:

With 300 bhp and the suspension setup it would be quicker than Aarons if it could put the power down.

Dont forget that 4x4 has a 20% power loss though transmission even without an LSD.

I try to learn about all cars and engines etc.. But there are so many i have to choose which ones i Really want to know about and get stuck in at the deep end.

The only reason i know about the Maxi RS2000 stuff is because i have worked on one and was going to do the same stuff to TAZ when i had her.

Cost alot of money so sold Taz and bought a Mk3 which already has the best suspension and geometry setup from factory.

The Mk3 has the closest setup to true motorsport system.

Out of all RS's Cosworth's XR's etc.. The RS16i then the S1 are the daddys of them all when talking about suspension and geometry.

This is the real deal that was used in rallys all over the world.
